There are so many great options to eat on Mo’orea all around the island. If you have a car, you can easily visit all of these locations in one trip. I have split them up by areas of the island in case you are limited by your transportation options.

Coco Beach, places to eat lunch on Mo'orea
Your ride to Coco Beach Restaurant, a favorite place lunch spot on the island.

Tiahura

  • Snack Mahana – We have been told by many people locals and visitors that Snack Mahana is one of the best places to eat on Mo’orea. I can concur. It is the best Mahi Mahi I have ever had. They do not take reservations and are only open from 11am-2pm Tuesday-Saturday so plan ahead!
  • Restaurant Tiahura Chez Irene – This was our go to lunch place on our first visit to Mo’orea. They have very affordable pizza and the very kind staff even made me an iced coffee!
  • Coco Beach Moorea – Coco Beach is one of the pricier options on the island, but such a cool experience. It is located on Motu Tiahura, so you have to take a boat there. Once on the island you can eat delicious fish, have a cocktail, and hang out on the beach. It books up way ahead of time so you do need to make a reservation. The boat there cost 500 XPF/pp (about $5 USD). It is open 11am – 2pm Wednesday to Sunday.

Cook’s Bay

  • Allo Pizza – Best pizza on the island according to our Airbnb host. It is the only place on the island that does pizza in a wood fire oven. They have a ton of options, we got the pepperoni & margarita pizzas. It’s a bit of a long wait, so ordered ahead for pick up is recommended. If you need something sweet, get their chocolate mousse for dessert!
  • Iaorana smoothies—This is the place for smoothies and acai bowls. We went twice after whale swimming. We tried both the Tiare and Monamona acai bowls, and both are amazing and so fresh especially on a hot day! They are open from 9am – 4pm every day except Sunday.
Iaorana smoothies offers a variety of acai bowels with the freshest fruit!

Paraoro

  • Chez Tama’a Maita’I – Small roadside restaurant only open Friday – Sunday. This is a great place to get very affordable Poisson Cru. They also give huge portions and bread service.
  • Ke’iki – Newer restaurant open Tuesday – Saturday. Another great place for Poisson Cru! They have changing daily specials (I got the Grouper with pesto) that usually include garlic rice, which is amazing. Reservation strongly recommended, especially on the weekends.
